Monkey One and Monkey Two

Most of you know our blog by The Evans Updates! Well that had to change due to another blog with the same name and ours didn't even pull up when I went to search for ours so I think I found a name that fits us very well Monkey One and Monkey Two!

As I have started most of my personal blogs I am once behind again updating it, you would think being at home I would have more time! which I do BUT I forget about this considering Facebook is easy to get on and put a funny about the boys on faster then logging on to the blog, and I keep saying I am going to get better about it also and I don't. So I'm going to say it one more time that I am going to try to update more! And yes I do know about the blog APP!!

Well since my last update we have had several things going on! This summer Miller attended the Capital school for the month of June and LOVED every second of it! If anyone is ever looking for a great summer program I would defiantly look into it! It is all learning but they make it SO FUN for them that they really have no clue they are learning, we will defiantly do it again this upcoming summer.

We have several birthdays in the month of July in our family Mine, Nick's, and Jessica's. For mine we went to the beach with my mom and dad and had a blast even though the kids had melt downs at least once a day to the point I was ready to pack up and head home but we survived and really did have a great time!

Other news that has been going on is we received a letter from UAB about Millers vascular Surgeon leaving and going to Shelby medical center. This was a huge shock and left us making a huge choice to stay at UAB or to fallow. When we first meet Dr. Taylor I fell in Love with him! Just the way he handled Miller and us as well as how fast he moved things along. But the ONE thing that caught my attention was when he said ONLY GOD knows the out come of things! For a Dr. now days to show his religion in an appointment is done very little due to the fact of offending the patient, but we new the Lord had sent us to him for Miller. So with that being said we have made the BIG destion to follow Dr. Taylor even though we LOVED UAB! I'm sure most of you are wondering why we don't go to children but its due to the type of Tumor Miller has. Children's does not see vascular tumors in children and in Millers case his is very rear tumor that usually only shows up on the brain or spin and can be removed if in those places but with Miller his can not be removed due to the tumor is wrapped around his muscle and is feeding the muscle and that is how the leg is counting to grow. Miller is still doing swimming lessons to help with his leg but for some reason this summer he has not wanted to go and as of now we have only had very few flair ups THANK GOODNESS!! But this winter will be the test to see if his last surgery did what it was suppose to which is to slow the blood flow down in the tumor. I guess we will see once it starts getting cooler outside.

Fisher on the other hand is WILD and CRAZY!! He started swimming this spring and LOVES it and it made our beach trip a little better due to the fact that I really didn't have to worry about him as much as if he had NEVER been introduced to the pool. Fisher can hold his breath, kick, float on his back, and put his face in the water, and blow bubbles. We hope to continue swimming during the fall and winter.

It's amazing how time fly's by when you have little ones running around your house! Another school year has started and even though Miller will not start school till next year its hard to believe that he will be 5 this December and Fisher will be 2! We are trying very hard at home to teach Miller what he need to know for Kindergarten next year and of course if anyone knows its very difficult to teach your child at home if they are very head strong and will fight with you to no end to do his work books! We try to take 30 minutes a day out to spend learning something because if we don't start something now he will be really be in a cultural shock next year. Fisher on the other hand is learning as well his colors letters and numbers, it's funny because we will say 1,2,3 and fisher will then say GO!! So now when someone starts to count he always says GO!!

Well most of you know that Nick is a BIG hunter and this year he has BIG plains so he says ha ha!! He finally picked his 4th and final deer head up from the taxidermy but we do still have a turkey! I guess he wants to start off the NEW hunting season with nothing at the taxidermy and I'm hoping we wont have anything to go or pick up this year my walls are filling up very fast!

Football has started and for most that is your weekend! But for us we do like Alabama football and love to win but it doesn't bother if we miss a little because it will be on again! This past weekend Miller got to go to his FIRST Alabama Football game and loved every minute of it and for his age he does really good I must say.

In other news around the house most of you know that I have a little business at home making stationary and note cards which is all personalized, I also do invitations and gift tags. The name is Miller & Fisher designs, I have a blog that you can look at called millersandfishersdesigns.blogspot.com and it has everything I have done with a price sheet. For the most part I stay pretty busy but do come across free time.

Well the boys are getting a little out of hand so I must go and I sure hope I can update more often then what I have been, and again thank you for reading! Oh and don't worry I have had to stop several times to get on to Monkey One (Miller)

GOD BLESS
The Evans
