Update on Dot 2

In the past few weeks Dot has been moved from UAB to DCH and now she is in a nursing home. She is still suffering from the massive stroke she had. I hope she gets better so she can go back home and enjoy life the way she did before this happened. We are praying for you Dot!

Update on Miller round 2

Well it will be a week tomorrow that Miller had surgery and we still have not heard anything. I am taking this is a good thing. But they did tell use that if we heard anything before Wednesday then that would be really good so I am thinking we may hear something Friday I hope. Thank you for all the prayers!

Miller and the Cats

While I was at lunch I called to check on Miller at Judy's. Judy said that Miller and George were out looking for Turkeys. Well in the mean time while we were talking they came in and I started hearing Miller go POW POW I said what is he doing and Judy said oh he is shooting the cats with his fake gun I said OH Lord help me. Our poor animals have no clue what they are in for when he gets older. But it was quit funny to hear him. OH the joys of little boys!

Afternoon Play Date

After I got off yesterday I went and picked Miller up at Judy's house. I had decided not to go to church due to Millers leg, so we went home and I asked Miller if he wanted to help mommy wash her car. Miller was such a big help! Once we were done and I started cleaning the inside and Miller was still trying to clean the out side. Once Miller was broad doing that he heard Cody out side and walked down the hill to see him. I told Miller not to go down the hill but Miller turned around and said I goin to see Cody. Well Cody was standing at the end of his drive way saying Miller come over. Then Miller said to Cody look the moon up there and he was pointing to the sky. I stood there listening to them for at least 5 min it was so funny. Finally Miller and I walked over there and Cody let Miller throw the basket ball a few times. After that Cody and McKenzie brought him back home. He had such a good time playing with them.

Today for Miller

While I had a little time to day I called to check on Miller, Judy said he was fine. That they had gone to visit Maw Maw down the street and stopped to see bob the horse. Miller LOVES bob we have to stop and wave at bob when ever we go over to Judy and Georges house. After visiting with Bob they headed to see Maw Maw. Once they got there Maw Maw wanted to go for a rid on the golf cart Miller loves to ride the Golf cart. After that they went back to Maw Maws and played in the yard some. After playing they went in side and had a yummy little bit to eat. Miller has had some fun this week being out of school he is not going to like going back next week.

Miller and Walking

Since Miller has had surgery on his leg he has not wanted to walk on it. This has been a challenge in the mornings because Miller is waking up before I am ready for work and he want let me get ready, all he wants is to be held. Monday Judy kept him and her and George got him to walk some, this is really good. Miller also stayed with them Tuesday and walked a little more. Mornings are the worse for us Millers leg hurts him really bad he will keep it drown up and not let you put him down. Nick is ready for him to go back to school but I'm not so sure he is ready maybe next week.

Millers Easter Outfit

So last year I had Millers Easter out fit made, and this year I ordered it. Well it still has not come in I am hoping I will get it some time this week I am getting a little nerves. I think I may have to get a back up just in case. I ordered it February 1, and they said 7-10 weeks but promised that if you ordered before the 28Th of February that you would get it in time for Easter I guess they meant the week before and I am hoping not the day before. We will see what happens.

Mobile

This weekend Mom, Miller, Me, Mallory, Darrin and Tank are all taking a road trip to Mobile. Mom, Miller and I are leaving Friday morning and Mallory, Darrin and Tank (the dog) are leaving after Mallory get off work. This is the yearly trip we take were mom runs in the azalea run. I ran last year in the fun run and was going to do it this year but since Miller just had surgery then I did not want him to have to be watched by some one else or have to have a bumpy ride. So I am going to sit out this year but we still will have fun. Dad is going to stay home and keep Molly moms dog and play golf and Nick will be working. Yes this is all Nick dose is work. After the run we will load the car up and head to the bay and stay at the bay house for the night it is so pretty to wake up on the water in the morning. We also get some really good family time in with my aunts and uncles and cousins. They weather should be really nice as well I can't wait.

SO My dad read my blog the other day and called me to let me know that he was not in the blog so I am going to say a few good things about him so he can say HE MADE THE BLOG!

AVM

Friday March 19, 2010 Miller had a biopsy done on his left leg. We were told it is a AVM tumor, these types are usually none cancerous but they are still having it tested we hope to hear back some time this week on the results. A AVM tumor is more like a twine of string but it is made up of vessels in the body. Millers AVM is in his left leg, and they do not remove them for 2 reasons 1. there is a very high chance of bleeding to death and 2. they grow back. The little research I have done seem to be on the brain and on the spine. I am still looking for more info on this so I can answer questions the right way that people may ask that may know or find out. In the mean time Miller is doing pretty well he is not walking but we hope that will change soon, so right now we carry him or he scoots across the floor. We go back in 2 weeks to ask questions and to find out if Miller will need to do any type of therapy to strengthen his leg. Once I find out more I will let you know. Thank you for all the prayers!

Update On Miller

We are at UAB they took miller back at 7 we are waiting for them to call us. Just got the call miller has a AVM Tumor and they will leave it in. If they take it out then it will come back. Thank u for all the prayers!

Today

Today is one of those days were you can't wait till 5 to get off and get things rolling. Most of you know that Miller is having Surgery on his leg in the morning, but before we can do that we need to celebrate Big Georges Birthday. So tonight when Jessica and I get off and get home we all are going out to eat to Celebrate if you read that right you saw were I said Jessica and I that is right we are the only ones working today. George and Judy are retired so they don't work Nick is off and Hunter worked last night. After that I am going to try to keep Miller up as late as possible so at the wee hour of the morning (4:15 am) I will just move him from the bed to the car and hope that he dose not wake up and we will be off to b-ham. Nick and I were told that Miller did not have to stay over night but it was up to us. I am taking a bag just in case , if he starts getting sick then we will be staying. I am NOT going to drive 45 min with a child throwing up in the back seat all the way home. But we hope to be home by lunch.

Miller Shopping

Nicks cousin gave Miller a grocery cart when her kids out grew it. We had it out side and when it started getting cold out side we brought it in. Well that is one of Millers favorite toy he will fill it up with all the toys he can get in there and then unload it he will do this about 5 times he even puts stuff on the bottom were you usually put like drinks you know the big stuff. Sometimes he will load up all his shoes and push them around also. He takes that cart every were in the house he even has to take it in the bathroom with him to take a bath he loves that thing. I have found out that if I can't find something I can just go look in the cart and I usually find it.

Shaking Hands

George has been teaching Miller how to shake hands. George will shake Millers hand and say Hows Mr. Miller today and Miller will say good my tractor is running good. I have no clue where he gets this stuff from but it is so funny.

Pictures of Daddy

Last night Miller went over to his yaya's and big Georges house. He LOVES going over there, he ate dinner with them and played and colored all kinds of things. It also gives mommy time to so things she usually dose not get to do like watch T.V. (uninterrupted) or get on the computer ( uninterrupted) or clean up a few things. Well when Miller came home last night he said I have 2 daddy's I said what he said I have 2 daddy's and handed me 2 pictures of Nick. I guess he thought since there were 2 Pictures of Nick he had 2 daddy's it was so funny I laughed and laughed. Gosh the things that come out of his mouth will crack you up.

Happy St. Patricks Day 2010

It is the GREEN DAY and Georges Birthday. Miller is spending the Day with his George to wish him a happy birthday. We are going to go out to eat Thursday night to celebrate. HAPPY BIRTHDAY GEORGE WE LOVE YOU!

Nose Bleed

Well Miller I think is going to take after me. My hole life I have had server nose bleeds to the point I have to go to the ENT. Well Miller is the same way he has nose bleeds so bad that he will ask me if his nose is beeding (as Miller would say) if he feels his nose running. Yesterday his teacher called me to let me know that he had a nose bleed but was able to get it stop. When I picked it him up yesterday it was so bad that they had to change him poor thing. I feel so bad for him because I know how he feels.

Millers Biopsy

Most of you know that Miller is having a biopsy on Friday. We went to UAB on Monday and saw several Dr.s. We started at UAB and the were sent to Kirklin Clinic and then we had to go to Children's so we had a VERY busy day.

At UAB we were told we had to be at the Main Hospital at 5:30 Friday Morning and that miller could not have anything to eat after 12 so they said for me to wake him up at 11:30 and give him water HELLO he is 2 once a 2 year old is up there is no going back to sleep at least at my house I think I will just keep him up later than normal and hope he dose not wake up when I go to put him in the car Friday morning. But Miller will be having an open Biopsy were they will cut open his leg and take some soft tissue from the Tumor and have it tested and then put a few little stitches in it this should only take about 30 min is what we have been told. They also have told us that we should be able to come home after as long as he is doing well. They may be able to tell us something once they look at the tissue but they really can't tell use anything till Wednesday.

Kirklan Clinic- We had to go over there to have our paper work done and we also talked to the anesthesiologist that would be putting Miller to sleep. He explained how they would do this and also were the IVY would be.

Childrens Hospital- Good and Bad News we got hear but hey right now we are glade Miller is alive. Well Our appointment was at 2:40 and we got there at 1:30 yes we were early But since we had been at every Dr. Monday I was hoping they could see us early But NO. So the allergist came in and we have defiantly been cleared from all allergies and our inhaler. But the Dr. said Miller still had several Lymph nodes in his neck and then he found some in his abdomen so he sent us over to have more blood work done. He really dose not think this is anything he thinks that they may be there due to his leg.That the leg is causing them to swell. So now we are just waiting on that blood work also.

So this was our day Monday we started at 6:45 getting up and getting going. Yes it was a long DAY.

Millers Leg Round 5

I am not really sure what I have put on hear so if some of this sound like I have already posted it I am sorry. We went for an MRI on Wednesday and got a good look at our leg, Dr. Scott called us that night about 8 and said he wanted us up at childrens ASAP and that he was trying to get someone on the phone to see when they could see us. Thursday morning about 11:30 I got the phone call and they wanted to see us that afternoon. I left work and went and got Miller and Judy and mom and we all went together. We got up there and we thought we were going to childrens but we were sent to UAB to see a orthopedic oncologist. Once they came in they looked at Millers leg and wanted to do an ultrasound. During the ultrasound we had 3 Dr.s in there looking at it and they all sat there and were talking about what type of Tumor it could be. After they got done they went and meat with 2 other doctors to see if any of them could figure out the type of tumor it could be. Once we got back in the room the Dr. came back in and said we still are not sure so we will call you Friday we will not let you go all weekend waiting. Well they didn't even wait till Friday they call on our way home last night and they still were in a meeting about it. But they did decided they wanted us to come back Monday for blood work and then do a biopsy on Friday to remove some of it. So this is were we stand right now with our leg. MRI

We got it, Miller slept threw the hole thing thank goodness. I hope to know something in the morning if not by the afternoon. I will let you all know.

Nicks Toy

Last week Nick started talking about getting a boat, and when he is seat on getting something then he will not spot till he can get it. So Sunday Nick and George drove to Atlanta to look at one that Nick a had found on the Internet, well once they got there they looked at it and DID NOT like it so they stood there and looked at it for about 20 min and left. On there way back coming threw Vance they stopped at a marina to see what they had. Nick found one that he really liked so Monday him and George got up and went back up towered Vance to look at the Boat they had looked at the day before. So they let Nick give it a test drive and Nick loved it. So we are proud new owners of a boat, or I should say Nick is a proud new owner of a boat. We did not need the boat right now but when Nick has his mind set on something then he will not back down till he gets it. Oh forgot to tell y'all its a FISHING BOAT so that is why I am not totally excited about it. Now if I can talk him in to sealing the duck boat that HE NEVER uses.

The Animals

Not sure if I have put any of this on here but we no longer have our cats. For those of you that did not know we had 2 cats Lucy and Felix. I guess about a month or 2 ago I said to Nick have you seen the cats he said no and I thought well that is kinda wired Lucy will leave for a couple of days and then come back but Felix always comes back at night he likes his food and his warm place to sleep. But I think they are gone for good so now we have ONLY 3 dogs and I don't think they are going anywhere they are locked up in the back Yard and Tipper stays in the house so I think our Cat days are over not sure if that is a good thing or not.

Millers Leg Round 4

OK so I just got the phone call from the Dr.'s office and Miller will go back tomorrow to see if can try to do the MRI once more. We are going to let him go to school and play and eat a good lunch and the I will pick him up and give him a Very Strong Dose of Benadryl. We are hoping this will knock him out so they can get a good reading. So pray this will work!

Decisions Decisions Decisions

Well so some time know I have thought about selling Children's Clothes Kinda like Kelly's Kids, but have not taken the step in doing it. There are a lot of pros but also cons to it so I am still thinking about it. if I do deiced to do this I would pick a line that no one here sales just so I would not have the computation. But then on the other hand not sure how many would buy considering ether they have never bought the brand or have never heard of it but Nick and I are going to talk about it and I hope to decide soon and contact the person with the clothes. I will let everyone know if and when this may happen.

Millers Leg Round 3

Well Judy and George took Miller back to the Dr. today to have another X-Ray done on his leg. We tried the MRI Monday but that did not go well. So they called me today to make an appointment for him at Childrens. Well to have a MRI done at Childrens it takes months to get in. So they went ahead and made it but it is not till May the 11th yes that is right, and the one after that would be June 12th. After the Dr. saw Miller he wants to try the MRI again here, we are going to let Miller go to school and play and eat and then give him a Very High dose of Meds so it will knock him out so they can get it done. I am just waitting on them to call.

Spring Pictures 10

This past Sunday Mom and I took Miller to Capital Park and let him run around while I took Pictures. They turned out so good! After that we took him down to river walk and let him play on the bridge and I tried to get some more there until miller fell and scraped his knees up so now he has boo boo's on both of his knees. Poor thing I felt so sorry for him, He tins to fall a lot right know because of his leg so we hope we can get that taken care off before long.

Millers Leg Round 2

Ok so we went today to see if we could get an MRI and well after the 7th try they said we would have to go to childrens to have it done. So Miller when home with his Yaya and Big George to play for the rest of the afternoon. The Dr. is suppose to call me and let me know what is really the next step. I will let everyone know what is next on our leg.

Busy Busy Busy

This weekend we have several things to do.

1. Nick is in a Wedding Saturday so we have the rehearsal Dinner Friday Night. Mom is going to keep Miller for us.

2. Saturday I am going to take Miller to a park and take some Spring Pictures I hope I get some really good one's.

3. Saturday night we have the Wedding, this should be entertaining I have to take Miller with me and the church DOSE NOT HAVE A CRY ROOM.

3. We have church

There are several other things I would like to get done also since the weather will be so nice I would love to wash my car but since it is going to rain next week then I may need to hold off on that. I also would like to get my Ivy back up and growing by my garage. It will soon start blooming and it is so pretty hanging by the garage when you pull up so that sounds like a trip to LOWE'S. I think half of this town will be out side considering we are ALL so sick of this COLD weather. I hope everyone has a great weekend.

DVD

Miller got a DVD player last Christmas and will watch it when he is in the car but as soon as we get home he is ready to get out. The child has never been a big T.V. person in fact he will not watch T.V. unless he is in the car. Well I guess about 2 weeks ago we got home and he was I think watching Mickey Mouse probably and I went to get him out and he looked at me and said NO Momma so I asked him do you want to stay in the car and finish watching your movie he said yes so I went in and started doing dinner and would come out and check on him every once in a while. So every time I would make my way out he would start yelling NO I DON'T WONT OUT so I would just turn right back around and go back in. Well one night it was very cold even in the garage so I made him come in and I brought the DVD player in and hooked it up to the T.V. and turned it on so he could watch it and wouldn't you know he never sat down to watch that movie he got right up and started running around and playing. Well Last night he did the same thing and so I brought the DVD player in and hooked it up for him and he said he wanted to put his move in so I let him, boy was that a mistake he then decided to take ALL of his DVD movies out of the case and just throw them in the air. Of course I start yelling and have to pop Miller on the hand and he starts crying. So I turned the DVD player off and we got ready for bed. I just can't figure it out the child will watch every move he has in the car but as soon as you get him out he is done with it. At least I don't have to worry about him getting to much T.V. in .

The Joy Of A 2 Year Old

The Day Miller turned 2 I think he new that it was time for him to be his on little person. Since he has turned 2 he is doing so much more he is talking in complete sciences and he can tell you what he wants and he will make sure you hear him and you know that he only want what he is asking for. He also is using the potty but only some times, it usually only when Miller wants to use the potty so we are still working on that. You know you hear people say children go threw so many stages and changes in life well I think we have hit one WAY TO EARLY in life. This week when I go to drop him off at school he starts yelling NO I DON'T WANT TO, I WANT TO GO TO YAYA'S OR GIGI'S. I didn't think this started till like middle school or at least late elementary school. But once I drop him off he is fine and he actually go's in and sits down and waves buy to me so I really don't know what it is. Also We have been putting pull ups on Miller now for about a month or so and a diaper on at night. Lately when I go to change him in the morning to get ready for school he will say no momma I want a diaper on no pull up. I think we are falling behind. I really wanted him potty trained before school started back in the fall but I am not sure this is going to happen but it may. I know y'all are probably wondering why the hurry but when I started this I was hoping he was going to move up at school and the only way to move up is if he is potty trained and if he moves up then our daycare coast go's down. But we had at do or registration for next year already and Christ Harbor has so many 2's that they are making a older 2 class so Miller will move up to that instead of the 3's. Witch I am fine with. Whats one more year of paying 100 dollars a week. Miller also has started calling Tipper in in the mornings, When I get up I put Tipper out side and before we leave for work and school we call her back in. Well this is Millers favorite part he will stand at the back door and yell Tipper come on, its the funnest thing to hear him say. Also in the mornings now Miller I think is turning in to Nick when it comes to eating. Nick LOVES Peanut Butter and miller has found that he likes it as well. Every morning Miller eats mini pancakes and he likes for me to put peanut butter on them and make a sandwich out of then so he has peanut butter pancake sandwiches for breakfast and he loves them. He also likes me to make him a peanut butter sandwich for lunch with a bag of chip so he can take them to school in his lunch box. This age is so fun because they are learning so much and it so funny to hear what is going to come out of there mouth next.

Nick and Miller

Yesterday I kept Miller out another day just to make sure he still did not have a fever. His Yaya and Big George Kept him. Judy (Yaya) had told me she had a few things she had to do so she left Miller with Big George, before Judy left Nick came over to the house and asked George if he wanted to go riding. So George Miller and Nick all got in the truck and went riding Miller thought that was so fun, he even will tell you he got to feed the Turkeys. Well after they got back Nick took Miller with him back to the house and they ate then they went to the Nicole and Adams house. After that they came home to get me and we went back to Judy and Georges house for dinner. In the mean time Miller kept pulling at his diaper so I looked to see what was wrong and Nick had changed him and had put the diaper on wrong Lord Bless Him. But I did not say anything because I love when Nick helps like that and lord knows if I say something he may not do it again. I thought it was funny when I sae the Daiper on wrong so I showed Jessica and we could not quit laughing. But we did not say anything to Nick about it.

Millers Leg

Not sure if I wrote anything about Millers leg but about a month ago Miller fell while playing and looked like he had broken his leg. So I took him to the the ER on a Sunday night and was there for hours. I swear you would think if they see you come in with a 2 year old they would be a little faster WELL THEY ARE NOT! Any ways they took an X Ray and it was not broken and did an ultrasound and they came to the conclusion that Miller had a hematoma witch in other words he has a bruise on his muscle. Well in the mean time he keeps falling and walking funny, even his teachers at school had said something to me about it. Well Monday I kept Miller home do to a little cold so while I had him out I thought we may want to get that leg looked at again so we went to see our dear friend Donnie. While we were there he wanted some more X Rays taken so we had that done. Once those came out it looks like Miller may have a hair line fracture or he has torn something. If it is broken then they will just have to let it heal on its on if its a tear then depending on how bad it is they will let it heal on its on also if its really bad then they may have to go in and do some repair work. But Donnie would like to have a MRI done to really find out what it is. We go Monday for the MRI so I will keep you updated.
