Miller Update

I finally got the call from children's and we will be having the MRI on Millers head Tuesday! We still do not know a time we will get a call Monday afternoon!

Swimming, Swimming, and Swimming

 

As most of you know we are BIG into swimming! Both boys starting taking at 12 months old and are still taking. Miller takes more now due to his leg, Fisher takes just to better his swimming skills. But both boys LOVE swimming most of the time.

Fun Fall Day

 

The things we do to keep kids busy! Most days we stay out side ALL DAY and this was one of them. Plus I had just cleaned the house and I would like it to stay clean for at least a day!

Getting ready for Halloween

 

This is the first year we have carved pumpkins and the out come was no one liked doing it except ME!! Miller and fisher both hated the filling of it so they both got up and walked away. The only good thing is I was able to get it done in no time since I didn’t have little hands helping. But at least I did get a picture of them together!

Miller update

We had a great weekend no leg pain but Miller did have three headaches. But over all it was a fun fill weekend. Friday Miller and Fisher went to my parents house while Nick and I went to dinner and dinner was great!

Saturday we spent the day with Gigi ( my mom) and we stayed to watch the bama game.

Sunday we went to church and had a wonderful Sunday school class and them I had nursery. After church mom and I took the boys to Indian hills for the fall festival, then we headed back to church.

Today we went to see are ped dr and see what she has to say about Millers headaches, she felt the same way Dr. Taylor felt! So with that being said we will have a scan done with contrast
( dye ran threw millers head) at children's to see what is going on. I am not sure when this will happen I am still waiting on a call from the dr.s office to let me know time and date but until then we are to monitor him. Will update when I find out more.

Dr. Taylor

Yesterday Miller had his 6 month follow up with Dr. Taylor since his last surgery which we are very blessed to have had done. Normally they do not do this type of surgery till the child has reached the major growth miles stone which for boys is normally 10,15,& 19 due to the high risk of bleeding. But due to Miller unable to walk in the mornings due to the tumor it HAD to be done! Let's just say since the surgery it has been unbelievable the difference in the morning. We still have swim therapy and issues some mornings but nothing like before. Yesterday while seeing Dr. Taylor we learned that the tumor had shrunk a little which is amazing news! But as we talked I said something to Dr. Taylor about Miller having headaches once to twice a week, he gave me a look that you NEVER want to see a Dr. Give you the look that says that's NOT good! He looks at me and says HE SHOULD NOT BE HAVING HEADACHES! So we talk about the tumor in his leg and 99.9% of the time an AVM tumor is normally found in the brain, so this being said we will be having a cat scan to see what is causing the headaches. Since Miller has the tumor in his leg Dr. Taylor fills that we should not find a AVM on the brain because this type of tumor does not spread but Dr. Taylor wants to double check to comfort my mind and to out rule tumor. We are not sure when we will be having this done due to we have to see our ped Dr. Due to insurance issues. Dr. Taylor said insurance usually approves this faster if the ped Dr. orders it but if our dr will not order the CT scan then Dr. Taylor will. The CT scan will have to be done at children's and miller will have to be put to sleep. We ask for your prayers that nothing will show up on the CT scan and Millers headaches will go away.
